This course presents advanced and continued training in specialized areas of automotive technology. Prerequisites: Completion of all 100-level courses (except AM 141), 2.50 cumulative GPA, and permission of Division Chair.

This course presents advanced and continued training in specialized areas of automotive technology. Students complete work orders for actual customers. Pre-requisites are completion of all 100-level courses with a grade of "C-" or better (except for AM 141L) or permission of instructor.

This course continues in the second semester of the Sophomore year with advanced and continued training in specialized areas of automotive technology through actual customer automotive work.

This course presents basic oxyacetylene welding principles, techniques, theories, and practical applications. The care and use of welding equipment, generators, regulators, torches, tanks, and manifolds will be covered. The oxyacetylene welding of sheet metal and mild steel, cutting, brazing, and soldering are also covered. (Lab fee required.)

This course presents the fundamentals of arc welding in flat and horizontal positions. Areas covered include basic welding techniques, joints, fundamental welds, electrode classification, metal identification, welding symbols, and control of expansion and contraction. Students will have the opportunity to use ACDC, MIG, and TIG welders. (Lab fee required.)

This course is designed to update students on the most important areas of vehicle service and to help prepare students for the ASE Automotive Technicians Certification tests.

This course is an intense study of electrical and electronic theory, systems, and components. Students participate in troubleshooting techniques and repair of electrical and electronic components.
