Under the supervision of a faculty member, students gain on-the-job work experience performing the duties and tasks consistent with the topics covered in the electrical technology curriculum. This course is only available to students, who have earned 24 or more credits in ELOC courses and are enrolled in the Electrical Technology AAS or Certificate programs. Prerequisite: IA 201 and ELOC 163 with grades of C or higher; or permission of the Instructor.

Designed for EMS and medical professionals of all levels of training, The Tactical Medical Practitioner course (TMP) is designed to fill the gap in training, which has become more evident given the recent domestic events. This gap is filled by enhancing the participants' ability to integrate into, support a tactical law enforcement team and provide world class care, through effective training. Students of this course will gain valuable knowledge and skills needed to function effectively within the tactical environment with a team. This course teaches students to think and function independently, as well as considering the tactical objective. This course will not teach you to be an operator, but it will teach you how to function as a medic on a tactical team. Participant must hold a current Pre-hospital certification, at or above the EMT level. Preferred tactical team affiliation.
