    Introduces students to the juvenile justice system of the United States - its components and functions. This course addresses court processes, legal cases, and legislative initiatives. In addition to examining the evolution of the juvenile justice system and the transformation of the juvenile court within the United States, students gain an understanding of the current issues in the adjudication and treatment of juveniles. Differences between the United States system and that of other countries is also examined.
