    Are you creative and tech-driven? Do you think you have a unique ability to run your own business in a tech field? This course is designed for the individual(s) who want to create a business or want to know more about the process of how to become a business in information technology. During this introductory course, you will learn the key differences between the different types of corporations, i.e. S-Corp, C-Corp, as well as the standard LLC (or) Limited Liability Company. Additional information will be shared to help you understand non-profit organizations and how all the different entities are taxed. Instruction will focus on the legal aspects as well as cover some of the expected startup costs to become a registered business within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Students will leave this course knowing what resources are available as well as understand the forms and processes needed to complete the enrollment and registration of the business using attorneys and tax accountants. The instructor for this course is an industry expert that will present the course in a remote or blended format. Typical course presentation includes learning activities and discussion to maximize adult learning and retention.

    Provides a basic understanding of key financial terms and concepts, as well as potential tools and tactics that a supervisor can use to build strategic awareness of elements such as inventory management, rework, and staff planning in their daily responsibilities. The outcome of this training is to produce well rounded supervisors, or leaders, who can recognize the impact their actions and decision have on both the financial health of their respective departments and the organization???s bottom line. The course is structured to allow students the ability to explore several topic areas, which cumulatively build on the weeks prior, to create additional understanding and connections to an organization???s ??big picture?? strategy, vision and goals. Using a blended format of in-person instruction (remote facilitator unless otherwise noted) and online resources and activities, this series provides a solid framework and foundation established leadership skills. Typical in-person sessions are approximately 2.5 hours (including appropriate break sessions) that can be presented in-person or via Zoom platform and are held one to two times a week. All course materials are presented by HACC instructors, who are highly qualified individuals, possessing a combination of professional industry experience, certifications and education for engaging interactions and professional facilitation of the course.

Each new release of Office builds upon the successes of the previous generations. This course builds upon the foundational Microsoft Office 2007/2010 knowledge and skills you've already acquired. It focuses on the enhanced features you'll want to leverage to improve the way you manage, organize, present, and distribute your company's data and information. This course is designed for individuals who already have foundational knowledge and skills in Office 2007 or Office 2010, and are interested in transitioning from an earlier Office version to Office 2016. This course is also designed for those individuals who may be interested in some of the new features available in the Office 2016 suite of products

    This course covers the critical knowledge and skills a project manager needs to create a project plan with Project 2016 during the planning phase of a project. In other words, if your supervisor assigns you to lead a project, this course will enable you to draft a project plan with Project 2016 and share it with your supervisor (and others) for review and approval. Course Objectives: In this course, you will learn to create and engage in basic management of a project using Microsoft Project Professional 2016. ou will: Identify project management concepts and navigate the Project 2016 environment. Create and define a new project plan. Create and organize tasks. Manage resources in a project plan. Finalize a project plan. Prerequisites: Basic computer knowledge and basic project management knowledge.

You will: Update a project plan to reflect progress as you execute the project. Monitor project progress in the project plan. Adjust the project plan to control constraints. Prerequisites: To ensure your success in this course, you should have basic project management knowledge and skills. Additionally, you should be able to create a new project plan, manage time in a project plan, manage tasks in a project plan, manage resources in a project plan, and share a project plan using Microsoft Office Project 2016.

    This 30 hour instructor led course will help students prepare for the core Microsoft Office Specialist exam in Microsoft Word. The intended student for this course is anyone new to Word or anyone with a working knowledge who wishes to review the skill set necessary to successfully obtain certification by passing Microsoft Word 2016 Specialist Exam. Students completing this course will have a core working knowledge of Microsoft Word 2016 software application. While this course will provide the basic exam preparation skills, it does not guarantee successful completion of the exam. Exam voucher is included in the tuition.

This course shows students how to navigate and perform common tasks in Word, such as opening, viewing, editing, saving and printing documents and configuring the application, as well as format text and paragraphs.
