Provides an organization that wishes to develop a custom qualification course for their particular needs, Our professional instructors work with client to create a unique course of fire, within best industry practices, that becomes an organization's official qualification course talored to its needs. On the range, our instructors work with students, wit the end goal of them being able to sucessfully complete the developed qualification course at the end of the session. Minimum enrollment per class is 4 and the maximum is 20.

Allows students to practice the basic fundamentals of shooting using proper stance, grip, sighting and trigger control taught in the online portion of Basic Handgun Marksmanship and Safety for Civilian. This 2-hour course teaches students how to clean their firearms upon completion of the course of fire. Students practice dry fire, proper loading and unloading, live fire their hand gun. This course is the hands-on training potion for those students who took the online portion of Basic Handgun Marksmanship and Safety for Civilian course. Students are required to provide their own handgun and 50 rounds of manufacturer-approved ammunition (no re-loaded ammunition allowed). Students are also required to provide proper hearing protection, eye protection, a baseball-style hat and a basic gun cleaning kit. Students must be at least 21 years old to register for this course. Pre-requisite: Basic Handgun Marksmanship and Safety for Civilian (Online).

This hands-on course teaches students dry fire, proper loading/unloading and live firing on their handgun. In addition, this course covers the cleaning and care of their handgun upon completion of the topic on firing. This course is next training course for those students who have completed the Basic Handgun Marksmanship and Safety for Civilian (Online) and is conducted on HACC???s indoor range. Students are required to provide the following: their own handgun (note: students are able to rent one of HACC's range handguns, if they do not possess one of their own, but they MUST provide their own ammunition- information is available by contacting our offices, 50 rounds of manufacturer-approved ammunition NO RELOADED ammunition allowed, a basic gun cleaning kit, proper hearing and eye protection, and a baseball-style hat. Note: Instructors are to make a safety examination of the student???s handgun (and other items), and have the sole discretion to deny any of its use. MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD TO REGISTER Pre-requisite: successful completion of the Basic Handgun Marksmanship and Safety for Civilian (Online).

Allows an organization to assess the competency of individuals, who carry a firearm while they perform their duties. Organizations that require, or plan to require personnel to carry a firearm must be trained on proper use. The student is assessed on proper stance, grip, trigger control, muzzel control, loading skills, reloading skills and malfunction clearance. The outcome of the course provides both the student and the organization with a final report (aka Firearm Competency Evaluation) that outlines the student's competency on their firearm handling skills and marksmanship. The report also provides the student with any recommendations on future training needed, that serve to accomplish the stated goals of the organization, for that student.

Highlights pertinent court decisions and significant pieces legislation passed that affect police operations and investigations. This course addresses changes and updates to the Pennsylvania Crimes Code, Vehicle Code and Rules of Criminal Procedures, as well as decisions from Pennsylvania???s Commonwealth, Superior and Supreme Courts, various Federal Courts and the United States Supreme Court. A final segment of the course focuses on topics, such as the issue of excessive charging by police officers and the different jurisdiction and authority of the various law enforcement agencies and officers throughout the Commonwealth. This course will also take a thorough look at issues officers have faced which either helped or hindered court decisions and the outcomes concerning such decisions.

Prepares police cadets to sit for the 200-question multiple-choice question exam one they have completed the Basic Recruit Curriculum for Municipal Police Officers. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officers??? Education and Training Commission (MPOETC) requires that anyone eligible to be certified as a police officer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, must take and pass this examination. This course is designed as a prep course, which focuses on one section of the exam (Laws and Criminal Procedure). Fifty-nine of the 200 questions on the exam come from that section. As such, preparation encompasses three areas that make up Laws and Criminal Procedure: Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Search and Seizure. Part of preparation involves conducting a condensed review, where sample questions have been added to help police cadets brush-up on topics that will be on MPOETC exam. HACC does not know what questions will be asked, but is basing the curriculum on the learning objectives that have been provided by MPOETC to conduct this course.
