Includes subsistence patterns, political and economic systems, marriage, family and kinship, gender roles, religion and magic, and culture and personality. Issues such as universal human rights and consequences of progress also addressed. 3 credits

Stresses basic skills of representation in traditional media, and includes exploration of nontraditional forms. Subjects include figures, nature and studio studies.
