This course focuses on different components of fitness, stress management, nutritional knowledge and how these can be met for each individual. The class concentrates on the academics of wellness as well as allowing the individual to workout and develop techniques to improve the different components of fitness: flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength/endurance and body composition. 2 hours lecture and lab.

This course focuses on the process of adopting a healthy lifestyle for health, wellness, and fitness. The student will be introduced to physical activity, the health benefits of physical activity, and how to make informed choices concerning stress management, nutrition, and optimal wellness. The health related components are discussed and various individual lab activities will bring into focus the aspects of a healthy lifestyle. 3 hours lecture

This course combines two American Red Cross classes: responding to emergencies and adult, child, and infant CPR. The course includes standard and accepted principles of first aid, discussion and laboratory practices in dressing and bandages, wounds and their care, rescue breathing, choking, CPR, poisonings, fractures, burns and transportation of the injured. Students may be certified by the American Red Cross at the completion of the course. 3 hours lecture
