The student will receive instruction in maintenance techniques for trees, shrubs, turfgrass and other plant materials. During lab sessions, the class will prune, identify weeds and properly apply mulch, fertilizers and herbicides. As a final project, students will prepare a maintenance schedule to include routine tree, shrub and turf care for one year. 2 hours lecture, 4 hours lab.
