This course will provide students with an elemental understanding of painting applications, including an expansion in understanding color theory and color harmonies and contrasts. The course of study guides the student in the development of an intuitive sense of form, an informed practice of seeing, mixing and applying color in painting problems, and independent studies of individual interests. The development of an appropriate vocabulary, presentation practice, written and verbal evaluations, as well as outside research pertaining to Art History will be required.
