U.S. Constitutional foundation for the types of laws that govern the aircraft industry, flight operations, contracts, insurance and liabilities. Case studies of prominent cases.

Prerequisites: ITAS 204 and 302. A study of the development of specifications and regulations governing aircraft manufacturing, maintenance and flight. The transition from a regulatory flight safety system to the combined regulatory, educational and motivational system incorporating renewed emphasis on the human element. Techniques of establishing, maintaining and perpetuating a safety program, types of safety programs and the demographics of a safety specialist.

Prerequisites: ITAS 204 and 302. This course is the study of historical development of the air traffic control systems, present status of air transportation facilities, state and federal regulations, problems and services of commercial air transportation.

Designed to provide the student with sufficient knowledge of facilities, management, navigational aids, ATC communications, radar and operating procedures, aircraft separation, aviation weather and Federal Aviation Regulations. Patterned closely after USAF Air Traffic Control School, using same block and end of course tests.
