Through research and collegial discussion, candidates will also hypothesize future issues that may confront schools, and will investigate individuals and interest groups that influence and develop educational policy and practice. 1 Credit ESOL: This practicum is designed to help a student obtain English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) endorsement. A minimum of 90 contact hours is spent in an assigned ESOL classroom. Candidates are assigned to classrooms and schools in accordance with their authorization levels. Practicum candidates create and teach one TSPC-required work sample. TESL: Candidates spend a minimum of 135 hours in ESL classrooms.
