Prerequisite: Permission of Instructor Fees: None This course examines the integration of all areas of the clinical laboratory and correlates laboratory test data with diagnostic applications and pathophysiology using critical thinking skills.

Prerequisite: MLAB1335 with a grade of "C" or higher.Fees: Laboratory A study of blood antigens and antibodies. Performance of routine blood banking procedures, including blood group and Rh typing, antibody screens, antibody identifi cation, cross matching, elution, and absorption techniques.

Prerequisite: MLAB 1201 Fees: Laboratory An introduction to the principles and procedures of various tests performed on Clinical Chemistry. Presents the physiological basis for the test, the principle and procedure for the test, and the clinical signifi cance of the test results, including quality control and normal values. Also includes basic chemical laboratory technique, chemical laboratory safety, electrolytes and acid-base balance, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, enzymes, metabolites, endocrine function, and toxicology.
