Graduating seniors majoring in the natural sciences will explore various topics in natural science and Christian faith through readings and discussion. Topics will include origins of the cosmos, life, and humanity, as well as questions of ethics and stewardship. (Same as CHEM 4811 and PHYS 4811.) Class 1. Prerequisite: Senior standing. (Spring)

To pursue experience in a clinical setting under the supervision of physicians or other health care personnel that have recognized expertise. The student will learn by observing, journaling their observations, and defining personal learning outcomes from their experience. Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory Grade. Lab 3. Prerequisite: BIOL 3921.

Effective use of compensation and benefit concepts and principles to understand, apply, and develop Human Resource Management policies and practices that contribute to organizational goals. Topics include incentive and merit pay, pay satisfaction, compensation legislation, and the distribution of pay benefits. This course helps the student design and manage successful organizational staffing practices. Students will be challenged to conceptualize the complex set of internal influences (such as organizational strategy, culture, and resources), as well as external influences beyond organizational control such as laws, regulations, and labor markets that define the boundaries within which staffing activities must take place. An integrated and interdisciplinary approach to the issues of industrial conflict, conflict resolution, and negotiation strategy. Includes model of conflict; conflict among individuals, groups, and the organization; economic conflict; and industrial conflict.
