This course is the last course in the Professional Development sequence required for Texas teacher certification. It requires a full time commitment by the prospective teacher during the normal school day (7:30 AM until 4:00 PM) and takes place ON SITE in a Professional Development School assigned by the Director of Apprentice Teachers and the Director of Teacher Education. This course requires an Apprentice Clinical Seminar meeting with UIW faculty for 2 hours once per week; this meeting will take place after the normal school day and may be held in a variety of schools, community centers, or at UIW; attendance at these seminars is mandatory for the successful completion of the EDUC 5900 course.
