A continuation of keyboarding skills in document formatting, speed, and accuracy. Emphasis on proofreading, editing, and following instructions, and keying documents from various copy. Prerequisite: POFT 1329 or consent of the instructor.

Fundamentals of baking including dough, quick breads, pies, cakes, coolies, tarts, and doughnuts. Instruction in flours, fillings, and ingredients. Topics include baking terminology, tool equipment use, formula conversions, functions of ingredients, and the evaluation of baked products.

The course is a descriptive survey of the field of psychology. Topics include: theory and research development, perception, learning, thinking, emotions, motivation, personality, descriptions of and treatment of mental illness.

The course is a detailed study of human growth and development through the complete life-span cycle. The development of several physical and mental processes is examined. The course emphasizes innate and environmental factors that influence development and the relationship of physical and mental maturation on the total human personality.

The course is a descriptive survey of the sub area in psychology known as the Psychology of Adjustment. Topics surveyed include: abnormal behavior, stress, anxiety, illness, personality disorders, substance abuse, sexual disorders, mood schizophrenia, organic issues, behavior disorders of childhood, psycho therapies, and prevention.

The course provides instruction for the development of interviewing and communication skills in professional relationships. Students are encouraged to explore personal issues which may affect their ability to remain objective in the clinical setting. Demonstration of skills learned serves as an integral part of the lab process.
