This course includes the topics of waves and sound; electricity and magnetism; electric fields and potential; magnetic fields and induction; electric circuits; and fluid mechanics. Prerequisites: PHYS 2325 or consent of the instructor. Concurrent enrollment in PHYS 2126 is mandatory. (RWM)

A continuation of Physic 2326. This course includes the topics or orbital motions; heat and thermodynamics; kinetic theory of gases, optics, quantum physics; and particle physics. Prerequisite: PHYS 2325 and PHYS 2326 or consent of the instructor. (RWM)

2.00 Credits
Skill development in the performance of a variety of blood collection methods using proper techniques and universal precautions. Includes vacuum collection devices, syringes, capillary skin puncture, butterfly needles and blood culture, and specimen collection on adults, children, and infants. Emphasis on infection prevention, proper patient identification, labeling of specimens and quality assurance, specimen handling, processing, and accessioning. Concurrent enrollment in MLAB 1260 required. Students who are certified phlebotomists, or have recent documented experience as a phlebotomist may request credit for this course. Each request will be considered individually and must be approved by the MLT Program Director. A grade of "C" or better is required for graduation. (R)
