Psychological Assessment and Measurement. Three semester hours. (Same as Psy 572) This course is the first required course in the sequence of assessment courses and is planned to provide a framework for the development of assessment practices. Attention will be given to issues of measurement, identifying appropriate sources of diagnostic information, reliability, validity, identifying and selecting test instruments, conducting the assessment process in an ethical and considerate manner, interpreting normreferences and criterion-referenced test scores. Prerequisite: Graduate standing.%

(Same as Psy 573) The course will provide both a theoretical background and practical experience with the use of instruments measuring cognitive/intellectual abilities from early childhood to adulthood.
