A review of the types and sources of law relating to the long-term care industry. A study of federal and state statutes and regulations impacting the long-term care industry. Topics include labor laws. Assessment Levels: R3, E3, M3.

A study of the techniques and strategies for gathering and using financial information to make decisions in the long-term care facility. Includes a survey of accounting principles, financial statements, the budgeting process and inventory control. Topics include the special accounting requirements of Medicare, Medicaid and other third-party payment systems. Assessment Levels: R3, E3, M3.

Basic, intermediate, or advanced health professions work-based instruction to synthesize new knowledge, apply previous knowledge, or gain experience managing the workflow. Practical experience related to theory. Close and/or direct supervision provided by the clinical professional (faculty or preceptor), generally in a clinical setting. Assessment Levels: R3, E3, M3.

Emphasis on safety for the gas systems in ranges and high voltage circuitry in microwave ovens. Prerequisite: CETT 1402, HART 1407. Assessment Levels: R1, E1, M1.

Practical, general workplace training supported by an individualized learning plan developed by the employer, college and student.

Instruction in quality control and quality assurance procedures. The student will participate in the performance evaluation and recording of the quality control tests as described in the Mammography Quality Control Manual.

Presentation of specialized instruction in breast imaging. Emphasis will be placed on breast anatomy, physiology, positioning, patient education and assessment. Includes surface anatomy as well as deep anatomy. Special emphasis on standard projections as well as additional projections/positions and positioning modifications.

A review of elementary geometry, including area and volume and arithmetic, with practical applications. Assessment Levels: R1, E1, M0.
