A method of instruction providing detailed education, training and work-based experience and direct patient/client care, generally at a clinical site. Specific detailed learning objectives are developed for each course by the faculty. On-site clinical instruction, supervision, evaluation and placement is the responsibility of the College faculty. Clinical experiences are unpaid external learning experiences. Course may be repeated if topics and learning outcomes vary. Assessment Levels: R3, E3, M1.

Plane surveying includes use of surveying instruments, basic measuring procedures, vertical and horizontal control and traverse closure. Prerequisite: MATH 1316, ARCH 1315, or concurrent enrollment. Assessment Levels: R2, E1, M3.

A study of the child, family, community and schools, including parent education and involvement, family and community lifestyles, child abuse and current family life issues. Assessment Levels: R1, E1, M1.

An introduction to education of the young child, including developmentally appropriate practices and programs, theoretical and historical perspectives, ethical and professional responsibilities and current issues. Assessment Levels: R1, E1, M1.

A study of the factors that impact the well-being of the young child including healthy behavior, food, nutrition, fitness and safety practices. Focus on local and national standards and legal implications of relevant policies and regulations. Assessment Levels: R1, E1, M1.

A study of the physical, emotional, social and cognitive factors impacting growth and development of children through adolescence. Assessment Levels: R2, E2, M1.

Fundamentals of math applicable to industrial trades including fraction and decimal manipulation, measurement, scientific notation, percentage and problem solving techniques for equations and ratio/proportion applications. Includes instruction on the scientific calculator. Assessment Levels: R1, E1, M1.

Triangular measurements and calculations used in industrial applications. Includes trigonometry ratios, solution of right triangles, oblique triangles, convert between polar and rectangular vectors, add and subtract vectors, and perform graphical analysis of sine and cosine waveforms. Prerequisite: TECM 1341. Assessment Levels: R2, E1, M2.

Application of linear equations, simultaneous equations and quadratic equations relevant to technical occupations. Assessment Levels: R2, E1, M2.
