Overview of licensing as a broker or salesperson. Includes ethics of practice as a license holder, titles to and conveyance of real estate; legal descriptions, deeds, encumbrances and liens; distinctions between personal and real property; appraisal, finance and regulations; closing procedures and real estate mathematics. Covers at least three hours of classroom instruction on federal, state and local laws relating to housing, discrimination, housing credit discrimination and community reinvestment. Fulfills the 60-hour requirement for salesperson license.

A study of law of agency including principal-agent and master-servant relationships, the authority of an agent, the termination of an agent's authority, the fiduciary and other duties of an agent, employment law, deceptive trade practices, listing or buying procedures and the disclosure of an agency.

Study of concepts related to the provision of nursing care for high risk childbearing families with emphasis on judgment, skills and professional values within a legal/ethical framework. One of five level IV courses which focus on advanced medical surgical concepts across the lifespan. Pharmacology with math computation, nutrition and legal issues are integrated as students plan and implement nursing care for patients with chronic or life-threatening conditions. Prerequisite: ENGL 1301, PHIL 2306, RNSG 1162, 1343, 2160, 2313. Concurrent: RNSG 2161, 2331, ENGL 1302. Assessment Levels: R3, E3, M3.

Development of a realization of nursing as an interpersonal process with emphasis on the socialization into the role of the registered nurse, clinical decision making using the nursing process and fundamental nursing skills. Studies include basic concepts and related skills in nursing process, communication, asepsis, pharmacology, medication administration, physical assessment and basic math proficiency. These concepts contribute to comprehensive assessment of patients, nursing care planning and implementation of care for adults (including older adults) in simple nursing situations. Must be repeated if RNSG 1413 is not successful. Prerequisites: BIOL 2401, 2402, HPRS 1106 and 1204. Concurrent: RNSG 1201, 1413, 2306, CHEM 1406, PSYC 2301. Assessment Levels: R3, E3, M3.
