Four hours credit. A health-related work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills, and concepts. Direct supervision is provided by the clinical professional. Placement in first year nursing curriculum during the fall semester is required. 192 clinical hours. Prerequisites: BIOL 2401and 2402, RNSG 1208, ENGL 1301, PSYCH 2301 and a current CPR card. Co-requisite: RNSG 1309 and BIOL 2420.

One hour credit. Exploration of leadership and management principles applicable to the role of the nurse as a provider of care, coordinator of care, and member of a profession. Includes application of knowledge, judgment, skills and professional values with a legal/ethical framework. Sixteen classroom hours. Co-requisites: none.

(Capstone Course) One hour credit. Review of concepts required for licensure examination and entry into the practice of professional nursing. Includes application of National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) test plan, assessment of knowledge deficits, and remediation. Sixteen classroom hours. Prerequisites: RNSG 1343, 1412, 2460. Co-requisite: none

Three hours credit. Principles and concepts of mental health, psychopathology, and treatment modalities related to the nursing care of clients and their families. Forty Eight classroom hours. Prerequisites: RNSG 1343, 1412, and 2460. Co-requisite: RNSG 2363.

Application of advanced concepts and skills for the development of the associate degree nurse's role in complex nursing situations with adult clients/families in structured settings. Emphasis is on judgment and professional values within a legal/ethical framework. Forty eight classroom hours. Prerequisites: RNSG 1343, 1412, and 2460. Co-requisites: RNSG 2363.

Two hours credit. An introduction to the field of respiratory care. Topics include the history of respiratory care, hospital organization, medical malpractice, ethics, vital signs, body mechanics, basic cardiopulmonary assessment, infection control, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Thirty-two classroom hours.

2.00 Credits
Two hours credit. A method of instruction providing detailed and work-based experience and direct patient/client care, generally at a clinical site. Specific detailed learning objectives are developed for each course by the faculty. On-site clinical instruction, supervision, evaluation and placement is the responsibility of the college faculty. Clinical experiences are unpaid external learning experiences. Course may be repeated if topics and learning outcomes vary. 192 clinical hours. Prerequisites: RSPT 2210, 2314, 1411, and 1462. Co-requisite: RSPT 2245. Lab fee.

THREE HOURS CREDIT. PROVIDES AN ADVANCED PRESENTATION OF ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY OF THE CARDIOVASCULAR AND PULMONARY SYSTEMS. FORTY- EIGHT CLASSROOM HOURS. CO- REQUISITES: RSPT 2317, 1410, AND 1461.
