Three hours credit. A survey of Texas history from the aboriginal period to the twentieth century. Particular emphasis is placed on Texas' exploration and settlement by the Europeans and Anglo-Americans. Attention will also be given to the surrounding southwestern area as it has influenced the development of Texas from both economic and cultural bases, and to concurrent happenings in general U.S. history. The course may be substituted for HIST 1301 or 1302 in meeting history requirements for degree purposes. Three lecture hours each week.

Four hours credit. Fabrication of hydraulic power units for and industrial or mobile operation. Techniques and methods of construction are studied. The student will demonstrate fabrication and disassembly of power units (pumps, filters, actuators, lines and valves). Disassemble, repair and reassemble hydraulic components. Analyze and interpret blueprints and specifications. Prerequisite: HYDR 1409. Two lecture hours and three lab hours each week. . Lab fee.
