The study of fraud detection and the investigation of suspected fraud. The course examines such topics as data analysis/mining tools, tracing illicit transactions, money laundering, red flags of financial fraud, interviewing/interrogation techniques, securities fraud, and intellectual property. Organized crime and terrorism and their impact on fraud incidence are investigated.

The study of governance and the accountability of entities to their stakeholders, including the public. The course examines such topics as responsibilities of boards of directors, officers, and partners, fiduciary responsibility, conflicts of interest, tone at the top, and the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley. Shareholder impact analysis decision-making approaches, external audit reform, social responsibility, organizational crisis management, environmental economics, and environmental stewardship are also examined.

3 hours. Sp. An introductory course in Russian for persons planning to travel in the Commonwealth of Independent States. Emphasis on basic conversation, reading signs, and using Russian and Russian-English teaching materials. Team taught. No previous knowledge of Russian required.

An introduction to the basic principles that are needed in creating a happy and successful marriage and family life. A biblical perspective is used to consider such topics as sex roles, dating, marriageability, mixed marriages, engagement, sex adjustment, in-law adjustment, financial adjustment, life insurance, divorce, reproduction, family planning, and child rearing. Same as FAM/BIB 230.

3 hours. On demand. The social and cultural aspects of aging in contemporary society will be surveyed. Demographics of an aging population and basic theories of aging will be introduced. Types of problems encountered by older adults will be discussed.

3 hours. F. A study of a people-in-systems theoretical orientation for knowledge and understanding of human behavior in the social environment. The student will be introduced to a range of concepts which relate to human development and diversity within social systems from childhood to adolescence and which will be useful to the assessment of, and intervention with, people/system problems as they are encountered in social work practice. Same as SWK 251.
