Prerequisite: Admission to the MPS Program or departmental permission; Description: Through activities in this course, students will explore their leadership skills specifically related to forming compatible achieving groups capable of completing tasks to complement the organizational vision. Students will examine the classic and contemporary literature on topics effecting groups such as conflict, collaboration, negotiation, power issues, decision making, compromise strategies, and team building.

Description: This course is designed for the non-native speaker of English who has little or no competency in spoken and written English. The course includes the development of basic speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Students can expect to improve language skills through thematically based modules which connect reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

Prerequisite: ENGL 1010, 1020; Description: In Literary Studies Abroad, students explore the literary and cultural legacy of selected foreign destinations (which change yearly) through reading, discussion, research, and writing. Students will explore the fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and film associated with the foreign destinations, as well as the societal, cultural, philosophical, and historical forces that influenced their development.
