Prerequisite: Admission to the MPS Program or Departmental approval; Description: Analysis of theory, practice and skills involved in leading organizational change, including aligning change with the organizational strategy, understanding changes as part of a system, understanding the dynamics of and managing resistance to change, creating a vision to inspire others to become a part of the change process, the use of goal setting, feedback and incentives to promote change, and aligning individual's roles to support change. Prerequisite: Admission to the MPS Program or Departmental approval and PRST 5300, 5770 or 5600; Description: The professional project is the last requirement for the Master of Professional Studies Degree, serving as the integrative culmination of the program of study. It should be a substantial piece of independent research or a significant professional project that is logically consistent with the theme and content of the program of study. Students work should demonstrate familiarity with and understanding of a body of professional literature to a psecific topic. The project should grow out of the program of study and should demonstrate the student's ability to use the knowledge gained from this program.

Prerequisite: ACT/MATH of 18 or DSPM 0850; Description: PSCI 1010 includes a study of six fundamental components of the physical sciences, Newtonian mechanics; linear motion, momentum, energy, gravity, satellite motion, fluid mechanics, Thermodynamics; thermal energy, heat transfer, Electricity, Magnetism, Waves; sound and light waves, and the properties of light. This course also includes a study of Chemistry including the structure of the atom, the atomic nucleus, periodic table, chemical bonding, chemical reactions, acids, bases, molecular mixing, organic chemistry, and nuclear chemistry. This course will establish a base with which the non-science student can view nature more perceptively. This course is designed to correct a missing essential in the sciences: the practice of conceptualizing before calculating. The equivalent of three hours lecture and three hours laboratory per week is required. Four (4) credit hours.

Prerequisite: knowing how to navigate the web, using email and word processor; Description: A general introduction to psychology as the scientific study of behavior and mind. Sample topics include the biological bases of behavior, sensation and perception, learning and cognition, emotion and motivation, development, abnormal behavior, personality, and social behavior.

Prerequisite: PSY 1010 and psychology major status; Description: Examnes career development theory and the multitude of career options in psychology with or without a graduate degree. Graduate school acceptance and success will be examined. Students will evaluate options, develop a resume and research skills, complete interest inventories, identify potential careers, practice interview skills, and develop a career plan.
