(Prereq: NURS A310, NURS A312, and NURS A322; Coreq: NURS A324) Concepts of community health nursing are presented and applied in clinical settings with emphasis on the community, aggregate groups, and the family as clients. Communicable disease control, principles of epidemiology, health promotion practices, family theories, and public health issues are addressed. (three hours lecture with six hours lab each week)

Using the nursing process, students learn to individualize family-centered women's health care, with clinical experiences providing the opportunity to apply these principles.
