This is the clinical experience associated with the lecture course on Women's Health. During these experiences the student will have the opportunity to apply in practice knowledge, skills and abilities that are learned in the classroom setting. Students will be provided with a variety of different experiences to help them gain a better understanding of the care of the woman across the lifespan.

Students will focus on the dynamics of the client with mental health issues within the larger population and the special needs associated with these clients. The student will employ a biopsychosocial approach to care. Students will work with nursing staff and instructor to maintain physical and psychological patient saftey. Students will have the opportunity to care for mental health patients within in-patient units as well as in the community. Specialization of mental health care will encompass pediatrics, adolescents, emergency, and the older adult among others. The student bases his/her nursing interventions on scientific nursing evidence following the nursing process. An orientation and foundational study of the field of sport management including types of careers, and training and experiences necessary for success. An introduction to characteristics of successful managers as well as principles of management will be discussed.

An examination of organizational structure, managerial practices, decision-making processes, and policy formation for sport and exercise organizations at local, regional, national, and international levels. Discussions will be conducted on how national and international politics, political systems, and policies effect sport and exercise organizations.

An introduction to basic knowledge, skills, understanding, and implementation of media and its relationships with sport and exercise industries. Emphasis will be on building and managing effective media and communications programs through study and analysis of publications, statistics, news releases, publicity, press releases, media packets, and public relations.

Sport promotion and sales management offer students advanced skills of developing, managing, and executing sport sponsorship and ticket sales plans, promotional campaigns, and e-commerce tools and sport brands. Through this course, students will learn how to apply the fundamental concepts, principles and theories of the promotional mix in the sport industry effectively.

This course covers the leadership philosophies, the decision-making processes, the ethical considerations, and the policy development practices in the sport organizations.

An examination of the fundamental principles used in event management. Students will be involved in a combination of field work and seminars with the target goal of staging a sporting event as implementation of comprehensive knowledge in the Sport Management program.

A seminar conducted for the purpose of reviewing either subject matter from all courses in sport management or implementation of an event based upon knowledge from courses in the sport management., Opportunity is provided to apply what has been learned to a "hands-on" project and a written and oral report, requiring critical thinking, creativity, and problem solving.

A study of philosophies, aims, objectives and principles of health, exercise, sport science, and physical education. Professional development and career opportunities are also emphasized.
