In this course, students are guided toward the development of a mature writing style, which incorporates a thorough knowledge of mechanics along with respect for unity and coherence. This course progresses from instruction in fundamental writing skills, including academic styles and grammar, to more advanced research methods and documentation of sources using MLA. Students are encouraged to work with an ESL and writing center tutor. 3 credits.
