You will learn to: * modify an existing template, create a template from a blank presentation, build a custom slide master, maintain multiple slide masters, and use Automatic Layout * work with advanced clip art and drawing techniques, and add sound clips, movie clips, animation effects, and scanned images to a presentation * insert and modify an Excel worksheet, build slides from a Word outline, edit a presentation in Word, save a presentation as a RTF outline, and insert a Word table in a presentation * use advanced organization chart options, format tables, and draw tables n a presentation * add action buttons, link a presentation to another file and to a Web page, set up slide shows, create custom slide shows, and set up a review cycle * broadcast a presentation on the Web, use Microsoft NetMeeting to broadcast a presentation on demand, embed fonts and compress pictures, use the Pack and Go Wizard, and use advanced delivery techniques * customize an existing toolbar, create a new toolbar, and create and run a macro Prerequisites: PowerPoint Level I or equivalent knowledge

    If you are responsible for creating and modifying project plans and need a tool to manage those projects, this workshop is for you! During this class you will create a project plan file containing tasks, organize these tasks in a work breakdown structure containing task relationships, create and assign resources, and finalize the project to implement the project plan. Prerequisites: Students enrolling in this workshop should have: * an understanding of project management concepts. * knowledge of a Windows operating system, either Windows 2000 or Windows XP

    Microsoft Project 2003: Level II is the second workshop in the Microsoft Project 2003 series. In Microsoft Project 2003: Level I, you used your project management skills to create a complete project plan. In this workshop you will build upon that knowledge, and give you the opportunity to work with a project plan once it has entered the project implementation phase. You will exchange project plan data with other applications, update project plans, create custom reports, and reuse project plan information. Prerequisites: An understanding of project management concepts. Knowledge of a Windows operating system.

    Why are intruders so interested in our home computers Do you feel that your family and confidential information are safe while on the Internet You bought all the right software! Our home computers are not as secure as they should be and are easy to invade. Internet connections, e-mail, and wireless networking are just a few ways an intruder can quickly find and attack your home computer if you are not aware of the tools you need to prevent them! Our workshop will cover protective measures to prevent you from becoming a victim, identification of potential invasion, safety tips for children, firewalls, wireless networking vulnerability, viruses, worms, scams, spy ware, and what to do in the event your identity is stolen. Methods to recover from these intrusions once they occur will also be discussed.

    Part of the Dreamweaver MX 2004 studio, Fireworks makes image preparation for the web a snap. In this workshop you will learn to edit bitmap image objects, specifically to isolate part of a larger image, improve image quality, resize images, and make complex selection. You will use Fireworks drawing tools to create scaleable vector objects and combine the with live effect filters to create shadow and emboss features, use layers to combine multiple images into a web page layout, and add text with font, style, color and effects such as bending text to follow a curve. Using the Button Editor, you will create the buttons and navigation elements that can be imported into a Fireworks web page layout. Prereq. No previous experience required.     If you would like to build a small web site from scratch or if you are responsible for web pages on a site that you did not create, this hands-on workshop is for you! During these classes you will be provided with the skills needed to create or rejuvenate your web presence.HTML is the code that controls the placement of text and graphical elements on web pages. It is an easy to learn language that manages simple to complex web sites. In this workshop you will explore current and developing HTML and related web standards, color backgrounds, text control, graphic format, links alignment, and tables, to design and create a basic website or troubleshoot the one you inherited and need to change. Become a do-it-yourself web page creator! Learning HTML code will give you a fundamental understanding of the elements and the structure of your Web pages, allowing much greater control of the appearance of your site. Note: Introductory troubleshooting procedures will be provided for students who wish to bring samples of HTML code with which they are working.
