Learn the basics of creating and using FileMaker Pro databases, including database "jargon", defining fields, performing searches, creating layouts and reports, finding records, importing records, simple buttons and scripts, one-to-many relationships During this workshop you will cover: * Maintaining a database (browse, modify, add and delete records) * Finding records (conducting searches) * Creating up a database and importing records * Adding graphics and text to layouts * Creating columnar reports * Creating summary reports and portals * Creating simple buttons and scripts to execute tasks * Simple relationships (one-to many) Prerequisites: Basic understanding of the computer's operating system, how to create and save files from CDs or other sources.

    FileMaker Pro 7.0 makes dealing with relational databases easier than ever before! Students will learn how to create more complex field definitions and calculations, how to work with many-to many relationships, lookups, and table data summaries, and how to design more efficient layouts. In addition, course activities cover advanced scripting, networking databases, and publishing a database to the Web. An overview of complex relationships will be provided. Specifically you will cover: * setting field options * defining one-to-many and many-to-many relationships * creating advanced layouts and script * using merge fields * sharing FileMaker pro databases * mastering relational databases * setting up complex relationships Prerequisites: Attendance of FileMaker Pro Level I or equivalent experience
