BMET 2343: Biomedical Electronics Theory I

A study of the basic principles by which physiological events are measured. Electronic fundamentals are used to understand electrodes, transducers, amplifiers, and patient monitoring systems. Electrode care and placement and the operation of medical electronic instruments are studied. Prerequisite: BMET 1304, concurrent enrollment, or approval of the associate dean.
