    This course is designed to enable the student to interpret the different line types used in drawings, single and multi - view drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and notes; identify the difference between size and location dimensions; interpret and apply symbols, datums, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing; prepare freehand drawings, basic forms, and sketches; use a blueprint to identify a machined part.     This course is designed to enable the student to produce drawings and documentation necessary to control production of manufacturing through sub assembly drawings, assembly drawings, and top level assembly drawings.     This course is designed to facilitate an enhanced level of a student's CAD skill and develop critical thinking skills and problem solving techniques. The students will participate in a structure design process whereas they may develop ability to reason with productive tools learned. Each student will be assigned design problems representative to industry work requiring multiple successful solutions. Projects may include floor plans, plot plans, wall sections, cabinet or roof details, machining, welding, assembly, and detail drawings. Offered at GCTC

    Intermediate CAD is designed to enable the student to apply geometric dimensioning and tolerances using CAD software; create slideshows; digitize existing drawings; isometric, oblique cabinet and caviler, and perspective drawings; develop 3 dimensional views; manipulate viewports; construct wireframe and solid models, extrude basic 3 dimensional shapes; assign attributes and bill of materials.     This course enables the student to develop 3D drawings, create animation, and interface drawings through graphic files with other software.     This course is designed to enable the student to apply user coordinate systems, 3 Dimensional (3D) surface model techniques, edit 3D objects, view and display 3D models, apply 3D text and dimensions; construct, display and analysis of solid models. Offered at GCTC

    This course is designed to enable the student to produce quality hard copies of working drawings using different methods of reproduction. Understanding of reaction process involved in each method will be exhibited. The student will experience creating actual working copies of engineering drawings using blueline diazo process, electrostatic process, and sepia process. Offered at GCTC

    Applications in CAD are designed to enable the student to work with other individuals on a common project with common goals. The student is facilitated to develop the necessary skills to work in a team setting on project comparable to expectations of industry. Other topics covered in this course will be enhanced design and problem solving, enhanced knowledge of industry expectations in scheduling, communication, and critical thinking. Offered at GCTC
