This course is a study of the nature and structure of viruses, their multiplication and effects on host cells. Special attention to the pathogenesis of viral diseases, mechanisms of host resistance and a survey of tumor and cancer producing viruses. Lecture meets two hours per week. Laboratory meets four hours per week. Prerequisite(s): 12 hours of biology including BIO 2314.
