Topics include electrical parameters and units, direct and alternating current, series and parallel circuits, resistance, capacitance, inductance, and magnetism. Lecture 2 hours, laboratory 2 hours. Prerequisite: Understanding of algebraic principles.

3 hours credit Semiconductor electronic device characteristics, operation, and applications are introduced. Junction diodes, zener diodes, light emitting diodes, bipolar and field effect transistors, and operational amplifiers are covered. Lecture 2 hours, laboratory 2 hours. Prerequisite: EET 1013.

3 hours credit An overview of computer networking. Topics include network topologies, network software, the clientserver model, the OSI/ISO model, network components, TCP/IP, and network security. Lecture 3 hours. Prerequisite: CIS 1013.
