This is part one of the 6-month internship and is 3 months in length. It encompasses two years of didactic information and experience gained in the first clinical setting. Since students are encouraged during the program to complete clinical work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, this experience is probably different from the previous experience.

This experience is offered during year three of the entry-level curriculum. The course is designed to offer the students the opportunity to select a research project. This experience provides the opportunity for the student to acquire additional knowledge in this aspect of professional behavior. In accordance with University guidelines, approval must be received from the Arcadia University Committee on Protection of Research Subjects. The individual adviser, as appropriate to each project, will specify other requirements and activities. Prerequisites: successful completion of the courses in the first two years of the Physical Therapy curriculum.

This is Part 2 of the 6-month internship and will most likely occur within the same health system as Part 1, however it may include a different continuum of care or patient diagnosis

This course includes traditional biological sciences of microscopic anatomy, physiology of exercise, and neuroscience. In addition, there will be a survey of various medical and surgical conditions and their underlying pathological processes.

This experience is offered during year three of the entry-level curriculum. The course is designed to offer the students the opportunity to select one of three tracks: education, pro bono physical therapy, or professional writing. This experience provides the opportunity for the student to acquire additional knowledge in one of four aspects of professional behavior. The individual adviser, as appropriate to each project, will specify other requirements and activities.

This course provides a critical overview of post-Independence Indian cinema, with a particular focus on deconstructing social and political ideologies embedded in representations of nation, caste and gender. Students examine how this popualr cultural form has served as a important vehicle for disseminating an idealized Indian national identity, and by identifiying how gender, caste, class and religion are portrayed and constructed in Indian cinema, students will developimprtant analytical tools for understanding contemporary Indian culture through film and visual media.

This course will focus on technological change, poverty and inequality, political economy, trade, innovations in social entrepreneurships and microfinance, and international aid as the apply to contemporary India. AUC Designation: Ss

3.00 Credits
This course will expose students to environmental issues both from an Indian and global perspective, exploring the natural, social, economic and political facets of these complex yet pressing concerns. By the end of the course, students should have a more nuanced, interdisciplinary understanding of the envrionment challenges facing India and the developing world as a whole, as well as both culturally-specific and global strategies for addressing them. This course will prepare students for internships with local or international environmental NGOs, urban or rural devlopment agencies, or educational organizations.

This is a course on conversational Hindi, known as India's "National Language". The purpose is to acquaint students with Hindi Basics, and deals mainly with the core skills required for reading and writing. The basic objectives of the course are to enable the students to understand simple Hindi sentences and to be able to converse in ordinary day-to-day situations. Teaching of Hindi will start with simple words and phrases. Gradually basic structures in Hindi Grammar and thier use in day-to-day Hindi language will be taught.

This is an intermediate level course of Hindi, often described as India's "National Language" The purpose of the course is to provide students the opportunity to learn and practice language in a comprehensive way.
