The focus is placed on problem solving strategies with emphasis on a variety of web-based practices that are specifically designed for customer satisfaction associated with technological problem resolution and related soft skills.     This course teaches about network attack strategies and common countermeasures to thwart those attacks through hands-on simulations. This course also introduces students to various penetration testing tools utilized to analyze networks for vulnerabilities. Through knowledge of these vulnerabilities students will understand how to counter them and improve the network security. Students will perform scans for ports and devices, perform network attacks, implement attack countermeasures, and analyze network traffic, on Windows and Linux operating systems. Students will take the TestOut Ethical Hacker Pro certification in this course. Students will be prepared to take the EC Council Ethical Hacker certification exam.

    This course will teach the most important topics of project management using Microsoft Project. The student will learn to use the software for planning a project, creating a schedule, and sharing information. The course will also teach features of MS Project for assigning resources and costs, tracking progress, closing the project, and sharing project information.     This course will introduce the students to a historical overview of the deaf community and its evolving culture. Students will gain an understanding of the effects of hearing loss by way of basic audiology, speech pathology, and the anatomy of the ear. Modeling theoretical frameworks from sociology, including social beliefs, physical proximity, and directness will be explored. Deafness as a culture, an identity, not a disability, will be explored though the idea that deafness is an identity, thus individuals with deafness do not have a disability and do not want to be fixed.

    This course will introduce students to various environments and applications of American Sign Language interpreting beginning with the fundamental basis of process, while incorporating real life applications such as interpreting over video phones; in classrooms, K-12 vs. college; and in medical offices. Develops an understanding of nutrients needed to grow plants, fertilizer formulation and application as well as soil testing in the laboratory. Discuss pesticides, primarily those used as herbicides and insecticides and typical concerns from an environmental standpoint.

    Examines procedures and practices of cool season turf grass establishment, maintenance, adaptation and pest control under their different areas of use. Interrelationships of environmental factors influencing turf grass growth and development for lawns, golf courses and recreational facilities also are covered including identification of common turfgrass insects, diseases and weeds. Prerequisite:    LTM 101
