Prerequisite: RADT 1100 The course introduces students to principles of radiographic exposure, including primary exposure factors and the proper utilization of accessory devices. It includes discussions of film characteristics and processing, artifacts, technique charts, and automatic exposure control. Prerequisite: RADT 1310 This course is a continuation of RADT 1310 Clinical Experience I providing supervised clinical practice and practical application of radiographic principles, positioning, technique, and patient care; with emphasis on abdominal, extremity, and spine radiography. Prerequisite: admission to Radiologic Technology program or permission of instructor This course introduces students to the fundamentals of computed radiography and digital radiography. It includes discussions of computer imaging basics, history of computerized radiography, hardware, digital imager processor, PACS, network architecture, and retrieval systems. (2 contact hours)

Prerequisite: RADT 1220 This course integrates concepts learned during the first year of radiography training through film, critique sessions, journal assignments, and radiography projects. (1 contact hour)

Prerequisite: RADT 1220 This course provides students with an overview to the equipment and procedures associated with vascular, neurological, interventional, arthography, and reproductive system examinations. The course covers special imaging modalities such as CT, MR, and digital imaging. (2 contact hours)

Prerequisite: RADT 1150 This course introduces students to the basic concepts of physics, electostatics, electodynamics, electomagnetics, rectification, x-ray tubes, x-ray circuits, and production and characteristics of radiation used in medicine. (3 contact hours)

Prerequisite: RADT 1150 This course provides the study of specialized imaging modalities and equipment, such as image intensification, tomography, and other emerging modalities. It also discusses quality assurance for the radiology department. (2 contact hours)
