Course levels correspond approximately to class standing (100 for freshman, 200 for sophomore, etc.) A student may progress up one level by successfully completing an applied music jury, usually offered in the spring semester. NOTE: No more than eight credits at the 100, 200 or 300 level may apply in music degree programs; no such limit exists for the 400 level.
