MUS 3308: Principles and Methods of Teaching Music in Junior and Senior High Schools

This course surveys the development of a music curriculum for junior and senior high schools, problems in teaching, and the administration of vocal and instrumental organizations. Students will survey relevant literature, develop or rethink their philosophy of music education, and present their conclusions in a formal paper. Prerequisite: Admission to Teacher Education. (Three hours per week.)
