This course is required of all students in the honors program of a Watson School department. It is the final course in the program. Students should enroll in this course only in the semester during which they present their research paper and after they have completed all of the other requirements for the departmental honors program. Prerequisite: Approval of appropriate departmental undergraduate coordinator and the supervising faculty adviser. 1 cr. ESL 110/710 INTERMEDIATE ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE Provides instruction and practice in all language skills: speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar. Emphasis placed on developing greater fluency in spoken English. Available every fall semester. ESL 210/720 ADVANCED ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE Emphasizes writing, but also provides opportunities for guided practice in reading, speaking and listening.
