Supply Chain Management Students will develop a strong understanding of managerial considerations and technologies in supply chain management. The course will cover supply chain strategy, demand planning, inventory management, transportation, distribution, warehousing, and supply chain coordination. It will use lectures, readings, cases, and online simulations.

Persian is an Indo-European language, the linguistic cousin of English, German, Greek, Latin, French, Sanskrit, Russian, etc., showing many of the linguistic features of English relative to other IE languages. The semester begins with an outline of the pronunciation and writing system of Modern Persian (or Farsi) supplemented with greetings and authentic communicative drills. This course emphasizes four principal skills: speaking, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, and writing. Audio-visual materials will be used. No prerequisites.

Elementary Persian II is the second course of a Persian language program that is divided into three levels and carries the students from the elementary to the advanced level. This course builds on Elementary Persian I but places more emphasis on listening comprehension and on speaking standard Persian (Farsi), the form of Persian taught in the Persian-speaking world, which includes not only Iran but also parts of Afghanistan and Tajikistan. This course fulfills the second-level general education language requirement. Prerequisite: PERS 101 or consent of instructor.
