This course examines the development of religious practices and the corresponding influences in cultural practices throughout Korean history. Acknowledging the inseparability of cultural practices and religion. We will examine the practice of the major belief systems of premodern Korea, including shamanism, Buddhism, Daoism and Confucianism along with the more recently introduced Christian worldviews and ?new? religions.
