Topics include principles of hydraulics, suspension geometry and alignment angles, and wheel balance. Emphasis is placed on preventive maintenance, system diagnosis and failure analysis. The course involves discussion and demonstration of proper operation of brake lathes, wheel balance and alignment machines. Safety will be emphasized in the use of all specialized shop tools and equipment and will follow standards set by the Council of Automotive Service Excellence (A.S.E.).
