3.00 Credits
Prerequisite: Placement or "C-" or better in GST 102 or GST 103. Designed for the student with a limited algebra background. A solid foundation in arithmetic and basic algebra skills is expected. Linear equations and inequalities, linear functions, systems of linear equations, polynomials, factoring, rational expressions and equations, radical expressions and equations, quadratic equations, quadratic functions, and applications. This course does not meet a general education requirement.
-
3.00 Credits
Prerequisite: Placement or "C-" or better in MAT 0105. An introduction to the basic ideas of mathematical thinking as they are related to the student in General Education. Consideration is given to such topics as algebra, geometry, sets, logic, probability, and statistics.
-
3.00 Credits
Prerequisite: Placement or "C-" or better in MAT 0105. This course is a study of equations and inequalities; functions and graphs; polynomial and rational functions; exponential logarithmic functions; systems of equations and inequalities.
-
1.00 Credits
Prerequisite: C- or better in MAT 0121. Angle measurement, circular functions, inverse trigonometric functions, trigonometric functions of an acute angle, solutions of right triangles, law of sines, law of cosines, additional theorems and related formulas, trigonometric identities, and applications.
