Prerequisite: Admission to teacher education. Continuing to build the knowledge base of a professional, the nature of the learner is the focus of this course. Students will begin to understand the human learning process and individual differences in learning styles as explained by theoretical models and current research on the brain. Learning theories to be examined include, but are not limited to, those advanced by cognitive, behavioral, social, and humanistic psychology. In addition, students will demonstrate ways that learning models are integrated into effective teaching, preparing them to understand a variety of teaching methods.
