They gain health education and wellness instructional procedures based on mental, emotional, physical, and social characteristics of elementary/middle school children. The health education curriculum includes nutrition, safety and first aid, family life, death, divorce, drugs, aging, dental health, disease control and prevention, environment, self-concept, the human body, and mental health. Contemporary fitness activities and skill development are presented in physical education segments. (Also listed as EDU 357). Does not fulfill Core Curriculum PE activity requirements.
