Special attention will be given to recent bank legislation, bank valuation, performance, strategic planning, asset-liability management, risk management, credit risk, money management services, and off-balance sheet risks. Trends such as consolidation, internationalization, and product diversification will also be addressed. At its core the class will use banks as the model but other financial service providers such as savings and loans and brokerage firms will be covered as well. Prerequisite: ACC 2043.
