    3 Credits, 3 Hours RecommendedPre/Co-reouisite OFT112 This course provides students with hands-on instruction in creating, preparing, and delivering graphical business presentations using MS PowerPoint. Students will create, edit, format, save, and print sl ides using various methods. To add visual appeal, animation, WordArt, clip art, images, charts, tables, and graphs will be included. Students will import/export to other MS applications; link and embed objects from other applications; and create web pages from presentations. Meets business elective requirements for business students.

    1 Credit Prereouisite: OFT 101 and 112 Pre or Co-requisite: OFT 102 Field placement assignment requiring 45 hours of work in an automated office environment. Upon demonstrated competency with office performance, 1 Credit will be awarded. The faculty member supervising the practicum will offer initial guidance and schedule individual conferences on a regular basis.

    1 Credit This is a self-paced course designed for any student who wishes to learn to input by touch at a computer terminal. The student uses an interactive disk with the computer terminal. Practice days and times will be determined by the student. This course is a degree requirement for students enrolled in the Accounting program and all AS and AAS Business students.

    3 Credits, 3 Hours Prerequisite: Permission of the Paramedic Discipline Coordinator This course is designed for the paramedic student. The basic principles of pharmacology will be presented, including drug classification, general drug properties, drug actions and interactions and potential adverse reactions. The student will learn the steps in the development of a pharmacological management plan for use in the paramedic field.

    8 Credits, 8 Hours Prerequisite: Permission of the Paramedic Discipline Coordinator This course is designed to provide the advanced education needed by paramedics to administer patient care in the out-of-hospital setting. It covers all techniques of advanced emergency medical care presently considered within the responsibilities of the paramedic as well as operational aspects of the job, which the student will be expected to perform. Emphasis is placed on recognition of symptoms of illness and injuries, and application of proper procedures of advanced emergency care. Demonstration, practice, clinical, and field experience are carefully integrated with didactic portion.
