Required of all students. Does not count toward the English major. Prerequisites: EN 101, completion of 54 hours, or consent of the Department Chair of Languages, Literature and Philosophy. A continuation of the study and computer-assisted practice of expository writing in standard English. The course focuses on analytical and practical writing skills. Some papers are based on documented research and reading in the student.s major field; others will simulate writing required in professional or work-place situations. Parallel readings, peer editing conferences, and conferences with the instructor are also included. Final grade is A, B, C, NC (No Credit). A grade of C is required for graduation. A grade of No Credit will not affect a student.s quality point average.
