This is a study of generally accepted auditing standards used to verify the completeness and reliability of clients' financial statements. It also provides an understanding of the preparation and interpretation of audit reports. The focus of this course is what is required for an independent auditor to provide a quality audit and properly disclose pertinent information to the public.

This course includes learning correct touch-typing techniques and basic manipulations of the keyboard. This course improves keyboarding techniques through speed and accuracy drill work.

This course provides students with a realistic view of today's office and its procedures, equipment, and activities. The topics of this class help to improve and develop skills in telephone etiquette, 10-key, and general office tasks.

This course utilizes a professional word processing system for business applications and concepts. Students learn to keyboard basic memos, business letters, envelopes, and basic reports. Accuracy and speed are stressed. Prerequisite: Ability to type at least 35 words per minute or take Keyboarding Fundamentals (ADMN0310).

This course advances students' knowledge of formatting and editing techniques through the use of rough draft, unarranged, and handwritten copy. There is continued development of speed, accuracy, and proofreading skills through production work. Prerequisite: ADMN1513.

This is a word processing course using WordPerfect 10. Basic and advanced word processing concepts are emphasized including creating, editing, printing, storing, and retrieving documents, formatting, creating tables and columns, and using mail merge.

This course increases proficiency in utilizing a professional word processing software application. This course covers advanced WordPerfect applications including document formatting, tables, columns, and mail merge.

This course applies calculating, transcription, records management, and electronic communication skills. Learners experience on-thejob situations using knowledge from previous courses to complete capstone experiences with limited supervision. Learners have opportunities to improve communication skills, develop problem solving and decision making skills, and develop and demonstrate industry work habits working in a Windows environment.

The goal of this course is to introduce learners to intermediate and advanced word processing concepts using Microsoft Word with an emphasis on preparing technical business documents and correspondence. There is development of speed, accuracy, and proofreading skills through production work and timings. The course includes creating templates, macros, tables, section breaks, merges, outlines, and designing letterheads and forms. Concepts taught prepare learners for the Microsoft Certified Application Specialist Certification exam. Prerequisite: ADMN1513.

Learners gain an understanding of the responsibilities of a supervisor, and identify how they relate to employee performances. Learners participate in and understand the decision making process and the effect of morale, motivation, and human relations on productivity.
